Sooooo, Halloween is coming up, me and all my different friends and "friend groups" want to do something.

People like coming to my place, but there is noway I am having a halloween party. We think someone else might be throwing one, but can't be 100% sure.

What should we do? Have a larger house party? Just have a small "sleepover"? Go to the cinema? ...I NEED IDEAS!!

P.S

At the age of 16-18 are we at an okay age to "dress up" and how do I balance the slutty/cute ratio?

Thank youuuuu!! xx

hii...

i would say that a sleepover is definitely a good idea. you could all go to a haunted house beforehand, or if there are any scary movies playing at your local theater, you could all go there. personally, i like the idea of just staying at home and having a scary-movie marathon--i did that with my high-school cheerleading squad a few years back, and it was really funn (especially since one of the moms had arranged for her husband, son, and nephew to come running in with chainsaws and "bloodstained" shirts at one of the scariest parts of the movie).

then, there's another idea that my friends and i have also carried out a few times. HOWEVER, this depends heavily on the town you live in. we live in a veryy small town where everybody knows everybody and we're pretty much all friends, soo for us, it worked. there were a couple years where we all just met up dressed in black, pooled our money together, and bought toilet paper, eggs, shaving cream...aaand i'm guessing you know what we did with all of that stuff. and we had an absolute BLAST with it. like i said, though, that really depends on where you live--in our town, most people don't care if their houses get wrapped; most find it amusing and some even consider it an honor (the head football coach, for example). soo, if you're interested in kind of giving the night a more "edgy" type of feeling...that's always an option. hahaa.

either way, have funn!!! ")

good luck, and God bless,

The sleep over idea with and going to a haunted house are both excellent ideas. Also if there are corn mazes in your area, maybe they do the "huanted corn maze" at night. I know those are rather popular in my area.

Also going to the movies or renting movies is a good idea.

And I think keep it small. It is much more fun with a few close friends than a huge party.

Honeypie agony auntI would do a sleep-over with some good friends, maybe get dressed up and go to a Haunted House first ( if there is one close by) then head home watch scary movies .

As for costumes... Slutty is overrated. I would go with cute, scary or just really creative.

chickpea2011 agony auntHi,

You are so cute!!

Previous answers are good ideas.. Sleep over, watch scary movies together, maybe a small party, maybe in your town they offer special attraction, like small amusement park...

Whatever you do, YES! dress up! Have fun!!! Dress up whatever you want, it's halloween, be silly... You are allow to...

Sorry didn't help much, but I just wanted to encourage you to definitely do something, and definitely dress up! It's appropriate for your age.

Hope you have fun, and a scary night

Good luck

celtic_tiger agony auntI work at a University, and should you ever get the chance to go yourself, you will see that dressing up is an integral part of the student lifestyle..... (personally one that I do not understand!).

So do not worry about the dressing up thing - its perfectly normal for people of your age!

My only issues would be (as a sensible adult) if you are going to have a house party, remember those under 18 should not be drinking as it is illegal, remember your neighbours as they do not want to join in your party by proxy (ie having to listen to LOUD music all night) and if it is not your house, then make sure people behave and do not trash the place.

House parties always run the risk of being gatecrashed and it would be terrible if it was ruined by unscupulous people.
