My periods started about a year and a half ago, and they are still very very irregular:/ I'm not sure if that is because I don't eat enough or what really, but I'm just wandering if there is a way to know that it's on it's way or not, because it's quite embarrasing when I'm out somewhere and my periods start and then my jeans have blood on them and I didn't take a tampon with me.. About a two days before it starts, I get moodey and tummy pains start, but a couple of times I've made the mistake and I've just had a bad week and it is not my periods....... And I want to know if it is normal (and please don't say 'everyone's different dear' because I want to know the majority type thing) for a girl to not know she's on her periods for the first day and so not put a pad on or a tampon in?? I thank you all in advance x

 Thats how myne were too. I wouldnt be worried. Haha I remember thinkin I was havin a jesus baby! I went to the doctor and she told me it was perfectly normal! The will get more and more regular for you. I get myne every month now and personally its better than getting, i dont know? Every 2-3 months because you bleed alottt more.  simple answer, yes it is normal, i am 20 now and mine are still not always regular and can start at any time. My best advice to you is to always have a tampon in your bag or in your locker just in case, i hope this helps =]

 Its cause your young, ive had my period since i was like 10 and im 16 now, and finaly they are more regular and i can know which week to watch out for.
It just happens i suppose, you will grow out of it, are they extremely irregular?
