It could be that she wanted to be friends and wanted to see if you were over her yet.
Your best bet is to ask her.
"Why are you talking to me? Do you want to get back together."
If she says no then tell her not to talk to you since she hurt you so badly.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 May 2009): hi there yes women are very strange, and yes she wants to talk because lately you stopped chasing her. when you stopped chasing her she will start asking her self why he hasn't call or sms me does he have another women or is he over me? she could be missing yes but if she doesn't want to be in a relation i suggest that you wont stay friends for now till you are strong again. the more you show them you want them the more they pull away . wish you luck
