Either way I don't want to hurt my friends feelings

Question - (30 March 2009) 2 Answers - (Newest, 3 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Dear Cupid.

There's a guy I like and we are friends but I don't know how he feels. A girl I know also likes him but whenever they're together she's all over him, like literally hanging off him, but he doesn't seem to be showing any interest in her.

I find myself sort of taking a step back because I've seen the way he reacts to her when she's constantly there every time he turns round. We're freindly with each other and quite chatty but I'm confused coz I don't know what he's thinking.

Me and my Mum are quite open with each other about this kind of stuff and she's said that he doesn't seem intersted in this girl but she thinks he likes me. I don't know whether that what she genuinely thinks or whether it's what she wants to believe.

Am I doing the right thing by taking a step back and seeing what happens or should I make a move?

Either way I don't want to hurt my friends feeling even though I doubt he's into her. Please help :) x

They're not going out, she barely even knows him which, if anything, makes it even more irritating. Any help? :) x
