Question - (5 December 2009) 1 Answers - (Newest, 5 December 2009)
A male Canada age 30-35, anonymous writes:

i have been in a relationship for just over three months now, and it seems that in the last few days we are drifting apart... in the beggining of the relationship things started off quite quickly, and then immediately slowed almost to a halt. there were some serious mental walls that i needed to tear down. we got past that rough patch and are now able to openly and honestly say 'i love you' (in the first month of our relationship, saying that was taboo, due to previous bad relationships)

we are (were) both the clingy type, and always saw eachother like 24/7, and enjoyed every moment of it.

but lately, (just after our three month anniversary) she seems a lot less affectionate. we talk openly and we both realize we are slowly drifting apart. we don't want that to happen, because we know this is the one that will last. what can i do to fill in this gap? i don't want to drift apart...

A male reader, CaringGuy United Kingdom +, writes (5 December 2009):

What you need to do is make sure you both have lives away from each other. If you're together 24/7, that's unhealthy and means you both need to look at yourselves and your lives. Then, when you come together, it can be more special, and you will then have things to talk about so you don't just drift away.
