 He might like you, if he does anything more than a friend would do for you. He may be trying to be friendly as well. If it turns out that he does like you, there might be something keeping him from asking you out (e.g. he may not be allowed/able to, or he may not feel up to it). Try to get to know him a bit better, and make sure you aren't too straightforward. Try to take it slow, and see how it turns out.

For me, guys like that are unpredictable..hahaha
Got the same experience also, but I found out that he just enjoy being with me and treats me like his sister.;(
So, gud luck asking him and i hope it turns out well...
