A female Australia age 30-35, anonymous writes:

There is an older man who I have a huge crush on, we talk and flirt alot and he always gives me this strange kind of cheeky smile. While hes talking to me he will smile, not a huge smile more like a smirk and its always while we are making eye contact. Its almost like we are sharing some kind of joke but we are not, just saying hello and general chit chat. Sometimes he will do this smile and its abit awkward and we will both look down or away, othertimes he will maintain eye contact with the smile until he walks away, sometimes we share this smile from a distance. It could be just a smile but when it happens i feel intense chemistry between us and i find myself thinking about it alot. Am i reading into it too far? What does this smile mean?

Sweet-thing agony auntA few other things to consider about him. 1) Is he married? 2) Does he have a girlfriend or live in mate?...If you don't know the answer to these questions, it's time to ask around at work and find out. Lots of men flirt by smiling but doesn't really mean anything. And if he has a woman in his life you can bet it means nothing so don't get ahead of yourself. He may think you're nice, he may think you're cute or interesting but I'd say if all he seems to ever do is smile and make a few jokes it means nothing more. You are probably attracted to him, and reading more into it. My husband gets himself into trouble occasionally by being goofy around some women at his office, cracking jokes making them laugh. He's just being himself. It means nothing. But several times a few of them have gotten the wrong idea and think there's more. I can't tell you how women ended up feeling very foolish when he tells them how much he loves his wife.
