Question - (25 July 2007) 2 Answers - (Newest, 26 July 2007)
A female age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I am 16 . I have liked a guy who I only shared 1 class with for 2 years. We are both extremely shy but I got the feeling that he like me e.g. His friends would let him know when I entered a room or he would show off infron of me and things like that. One day I made long eye contact with him in the corridor passing by. Later on that day as his and my friends walked past each other he smiled at me and I smiled back .

So we knew we liked each other but were so shy we couldn't even speak o each other.

As my crush grew so did his as he's always be looking at me and my friends were always commenting on how much he's look. And he'd kick a football over and I had to kick it back.

I had never spoken to him before because we were both so nervous and shy.

So bravely : ) I asked him a questiion about something and he answered seeming quite nervously.

So the next time we had that class he asked me somthing. After the lesson I asked him out because I was so fed up about not knowing.

It was 2 days before really inportant 2 months of exams so he said he didn't know but he' let me know. The next day, he said It's too near to the exams but maybe after thanx for asking though.

He wouldn't stop looking at me for the rest of the day and whilst waiting to go to sit an exam his friends would have to stand by mine and he would glance over at me.

At the prom my friends kept saying that he was looking at me and standing closely with his friends .I was dancing with a group of friends mostly guys ( my friends said once again that he was looking at me when I was dancing). I have 1 really good guy friend that I did dance with alone though ( not a slow dance) and I would never consider him as a boyfriend anyway.

So then he danced ith a female friend. I went up with my guy friend I'd been dancing with to say hi but he only spoke to my friend and then right infront of me danced with the 'school sl#t'. So I danced with another guy friend to try to make him jealous.

As we were all leaving, he was going to go out through one exit but as he saw me going out through the other one he decided to take that one and was right behind me. He got into his car and we were looking at each other for ages. He left then.

As my friends and I got into our limo his friends were looking at me . I don't know what to do or even if he still likes me. We are just so extremely shy. Hope To get a reply soon

penta agony auntI don't think so, unless one of you starts being really direct. A guy who wants to be with you works to be with you. He doesn't dance with someone else to make you jealous (and you shouldn't do so either).

Asking him out was a great start. That he didn't jump at the chance doesn't say great things.

I say ask him out one more time. If he says anything other than "yes," then move on.

Well yeah. It sounds like he likes you.

Well I Don't make much of him dancing with that other girl. as a pretty popular good looking guy I can tell you sometimes you have to dance with a girl you really don't want to.

He probably rejected you out of shyness. It's a natural reaction if your not to experienced with expressing yourself.

It sounds like its time to go out on a limb and just ask him if he wants to go see a movie. If he is shy you are probably going to have to make the first move.
