HI and don't worry too much!

If you have any discharge with this smell, it is very likely Bacterial Vaginosis.

The discharge can vary from whitish grey- yellowy green depending on the person.

You can also have 'period 'like pains and/or slight lower back ache.

The smell seems stronger when you wash down there.

This infectionn is NOT AN STD, there are many reasons you can get it, but you do not have to initially catch it from a sexual partner.

Have you been run down lately?

Do you over-use bath products?

Do you leave tampons in for too long?

Sometimes having more than one sexual partner can upset the good bacteria in the vaginal wall.

Sometimes being on anti-biotics for a while can set it off.

I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, but you must see your Dr.

He may have a nurse take a swab first, but a short course of Mtronidazole anti-biotics have it cleared in no time.

Go see your Doc straight away sweetheart, and stop the worrying, I'm sure it will be okay.

This infection is very common in ladies of any age!!

go see your gyno. it sounds like you might have a condition called bacteria vaginosis (bv). your doc will most likely prescribe you an antibiotic that should eliminate the oder and cure the infection. and to let all the men know-it is NOT normal to smell fishy down there. go to your doc hun

answerfromtheheart agony auntIf it's something that your boyfriend never noticed before and now he is noticing it (I am emphasizing your boyfriend, b/c it's hard for you to determine your own smell. He's been down there since the beginning and can tell if there is really a difference from before and now.)

If there is a difference only recently than you really owe it to yourself to go and check it out.

Whatever it is, it's better to take care of it before it becomes a real problem.

Probably just a yeast infection. You can go to the Dr. or buy some over the counter medication for yeast infections.

If you're worried at all, then see a doctor. You may not think you have the time, but it's worth getting checked to make sure you don't have an infection or something like that. It could be nothing, but it could be something. Don't take a chance with your health.

I have had a few girls with very strong fishy smell and others without any at all. My belief is that its to do with using birth control and shaving these are the only links i can make.

Hope I haven't been too blunt and this helps
