writes:hi im 19 years old nd iv bin on the pill on and off over 3 years now,i've bin takin it 6 months now with no breaks in between no missin pills or nothing,taking it as prescribed.a week ago i slept with my ex boyfriend,id taken the 9th pill that day,it took only about 1-2 minute and he ddnt cum inside me but im very worried and i cant help it,i dnt love him anymre it was a huge mistake the last thing i need now is to have his baby.i cant take a test coz its 2early to tell bt..could i be pregnant even thought im on the pill it didnt last long and he didnt cum inside?please help i'm freakin out!lots of luv xx

cari is verified as being by the original poster of the questionthanks 4makin me feel "better" laura 1318...but im gonna keep thinkin positivly coz the chances are very slim like the rest of the people've said and my period cum exatcly when it should,2 days after i took my last pill,wasn't even 1 day late and belive me its no spottin! so i'll take it as i'm not pregnant and if i am i'll find out when me body starts to change!

 Some facts to consider here.
Contraceptive pills are not 100% effective.
It has a high rate of prevention but it does not mean that one cannot get pregnant though this is rare.
He does not come inside you does not mean 100% safe
as precums can consist of 300K sperms and you need only 1 sperm to fertilize the egg.
He may not have deposited his full load but there could be some leakings.
Having your period does not mean that you are not pregnant.
Some people are pregnant and have periods even when they are pregnant up until the 5th month.
Actually, it is not a period but spotting , which they mistaken it as their period.
Only a pregnancy test will confirm if you are pregnant or not.

cari is verified as being by the original poster of the questionHI GUYS,no i dont love him nemre dats a fact,dats why im freakin out coz the worst ting dat cud happen to me now is get pregnant wid HIS baby..i dont wanna be wid him i wudnt even think about gettin bak with him even if i was really carrying his baby.i really like somebody else and when i slept with me ex,myself and the fella i have feelings for were going through a rough path but i do know it was wrong and the fear of getting pregnant of my ex and loosin the one i really like is driving me crazy,theres still about 12 days 2go before i get my period!thanks anyways..i'll try to relax but its eating me alive,i will NEVER do dat again,its not worth it!thanks a mil,will try and think positive coz when i think negative it takes me ages to get my period!

 The chances of you being pregnant are very very slim. You are no the pill and have been for a while. The pill is a VERY successful way of preventing pregnancy. There is also the fact that he did not ejaculate inside you. This means that there is no sperm to make the baby in the first place!
I doubt you are pregnant. If you are still unsure, however, I suggest you get a test at the nearest possible time.

Yes I can only agree with phiatiger in as much as it would be very unlikely if he didn't come inside of you and you are already on the pill.
I personally think you are stressing out unnecessarily and you need to think about why you ended up sleeping with your ex in the first place, if you don't love him then put it down to one stupid moment and don't repeat it ever again.
Think about what you want out of life and start to plan other things in your life a trip or holiday or even a get together with friends and you might just stop freaking out and starting to live again. None of us are perfect and we all make mistakes from time to time just chalk this one up to learning from our mistakes eh!

reader, anonymous, writes (1 April 2008): I have to say that it is most unlikely. I mean the pill has a very high success rate and then theres the fact that he didnt ejaculate...I really dont think you need to worry.
If you dont love this guy, dont have sex with him any more - especially unprotected! You should think about ending this relationship if you are unhappy.
