 the abortion pills work in two stages. stage one you are given the first pill and allowed to go home, then the following day you are given the second and as your aware, this induces you to "miscarry" the unborn foetus. i too would advise that the sergical option is the most effective and easier, you don't need to stay in hospital over night and although it is very bad pains, this only lasts for about 2 days in my experience but the bleeding does last for longer. its difficult to talk to anyone but i would advise this girl to definately seek councelling after because sometimes the grieving process doesn't kick in until over a year has passed.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 September 2007): hi ive been through this myself and i dont think the abortion pill is the best way to do it. Yo u have to take it two pills two days apart from each other and then it comes away. The quick and easy way is to have surgical there is no pain whatsoeva. You are put to sleep then wake up with period like pains. When i was in the clinic there were girls who had had the pills and they didnt work like how they should. So in the end they had to have surgical. I hope this helps and try not to panic you will be fine its not as bad as u may think.
