Body language signs of the guy I'm interested in...am I over-reading into it?

Question - (30 May 2011) 1 Answers - (Newest, 31 May 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I had dinner with 3 of my guy friends (more like acquaintance though), one of whom im interested in. i accidently gazed at him a little longer and when he realized, his eyes darted and he gave a slight frown, followed by some serious fidgeting of his hands, all these while talking to my other friend.

Im just wondering if this meant he was nervous or just uncomfortable? He's usually a really confident guy so it seems quite strange for him to react this way.

He's always nice and polite, doesnt break eye contact no matter how long he speaks even when he stumbles over his words. but he never calls and only sends forwarded texts. And i dont know any of his friends and so cannot compare. Am i over-reading? :(

A male reader, anon_e_mouse United Kingdom +, writes (31 May 2011):

anon_e_mouse agony auntFrom what you say here I'm not sure anyone can really tell... it could be he was confused about whats going on, it could be he felt uncomfortable in a good way (likes you but sort of nervous) or in a bad way (not interested in you).

No way to tell but then if he never calls and only sends forwarded texts he's either not interested in you in that way... or despite his confident personality deep-down he's actually shy (I come across as quite outspoken and confident but then if I really fancy a girl I turn into Mr Shy).

Why don't you ask your guy friends if they think he's interested? Blokes can read other blokes body language a lot better (usually).
