CindyCares agony aunt Maybe next time you will be nicer too.... to your parents ,who now are saddled with having to help you, financially and practically, raising a child when they where neither planning nor eager to do so ( If they had been wanting to add a baby to your family.... they would have made their own ! )

Said that, yes, the names you chose are very cute.( What about maybe Jocelyn spelled with a C?... )

A female reader, Abella United States +, writes (25 March 2011):

Abella agony auntKylan Jake is very modern.

Joselyn Nicole is more a mixture of names that have been popular in the past.

But all are nice names.

There are some beautiful names you can consider for the future. Though I am sure there are some wonderful interesting other activities you could consider than baby names. What brought this decision on to choose baby names where you are still so young?

If you want to think of baby names for some time in the very distant future then try to work out who are your ancestors. Get a huge piece of thick project paper and write your name at the bottom in the middle. Then just above that write in your mother and father's names.

Then above that your Mom's mother and father on the right. Then your Father's parents on the left.

Pretty soon you will start to see a pattern of who your ancestors are. A great idea is to include a surname of a female ancester as a middle name. That shows respect for the ancestors who helped bring your ancestors into the world. In my family we choose the great grandmother's surname for a child. Though if unsuitable we go back another generation in one line. In another hundred years it will give more clues to your descendants when they try to do your family tree in 2111. Just don't actually start making babies too early. They can be very hard work.

SaphiraGold16 agony auntWow, lots of NEGATIVE comments.

They are very nice unique names, it doesnt matter what anyone says it's your child and aslong as your partner likes the name and matches it's surname theres nothing wrong with the names.

Good luck and let us know wether your having a girl or boy :) x

@sjroller14 thank you!

The other two? I'm almost 16! And if you don't like it, get over it. It wasn't planned to get pregnant! But ya know, it happens. And I have a job. I have a boyfriend that's gonna help. And my parents are going to help too! So im not thinking about "childish things". So next time, be a little nicer!

eyeswideopen agony auntI am also hoping you are not pregnant. If you aren't, don't get that way for many more years. So going on the hopeful assumption that you aren't pregnant...my advice is for you to go get a puppy and name him Kevin.

A female reader, k_c100 United Kingdom +, writes (18 March 2011):

k_c100 agony auntI am hoping you are not being serious and having a child at your age.

But if you are already pregnant then chosing the name of the child is totally up to you - whatever you like. There is no point in asking strangers what they think of your personal taste. As long as you like the name and it is not going to be something that the child is bullied for at school then it is fine.

If you really want my opinion Kylan is very odd and sounds like you have tried to hard to think of an original name, but then decided Dylan was fine but replace the D with a K because you couldnt think of anything else. Jake is nice though. As for Joselyn - thats quite old fashioned but shortened to Josie might be quite nice.

But remember, this isnt a doll that you are naming - this is a real life, screaming, eating, pooping machine that will drain you in more ways than you could ever know. This is not fun or a game - this is the hardest, most stressful and traumatic thing you will ever do in your life. If you are pregnant (I really hope you are not) then you shouldnt be worrying about silly things like names, you should be entirely concerned with your health because teen moms have the same level of health risks (and more in some cases) as women who are over 35 when they give birth. Chances are your baby will be seriously underweight because of your age hence massively increasing the chance of early death and many other illnesses.

So stop worrying about childish things like baby names and focus all your time on keeping very healthy, getting lots of time in with your doctor and midwife, and finding some money from somewhere to fund your mistake as the tax payer is not going to fund your games for the rest of your life.
