A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hi Agony people,

I'm in my mid twenties and have feelings for an older man.

I dont find him beautiful or a sex bomb.

I love the way he thinks and uses his mind.

He is similar to me in this way. His career or lifestyle doesnt factor into the equation at all. I know my family wouldnt be too keen dut to the age gap (+20 years possibly) but could it be chemistry.

My question is should I pursue this relationship. Me and he guy get on well together and he makes time to have a conversation with me. Any advice would be aprreciated. Thanks.

So_Very_Confused agony auntIF you are single and he is single then both of you are consenting adults and I see no issue with it.

Just because you get on and he makes time to have conversation with you does not mean that he wants a romantic relationship.

He'd be delighted, but you say you don't fancy him physically, so to me it sounds more like just good friends.
