If you haven't had an orgasm, you seem to have been VERY close! Only a small percentage of women actually squirt a fluid when they orgasm - which is what I think you mean by "cum" - so don't rely on this as an indicator. You may, however, be VERY wet "down there". (For a guy, orgasm almost always includes the forceful squirting of semen from his penis - which is known as "ejaculation".)
In addition to what you describe, most people - both men and women - experience a very sudden release of tension throughout their bodies when they orgasm. Some describe the suddenness as similar to a sneeze.
