Carrot2000 agony auntMasturbating will not hurt your fertility, so don't worry about that; you have access to the internet and should research this yourself if you still aren't sure. Plenty of women masturbate--I don't know anyone who doesn't-- so you are not alone and you are not normal because you do it. Since masturbating does not affect fertility, there is no need to tell your doctor about it if you don't want to, but you do need to speak to your doctor about your period.

Thanks for the reply..it comes once in 6months & that also for 2days only..it started at the age of 17 & now i am 21..i hav consulted with gynac regarding irregular periods but havnt yet told about masturbating for its embarassing to ask even a female doc..i am so worried i just cant tell u mam..m afraid whether in future i wil b able to conceive or not..from last few years i have been taking hormones medicines prescribed by gynac but still its not coming naturally..let me put it in this way..that whenever i take medicines it works..the time i stop taking..it doesn't come..actually at the age of 10 i started masturbating..first i was so addicted that i used to masturbate twice a day..now from last few months i have come down to 'thrice a week' so is it gud? or should i stop doing that? Because one thing i have noticed that till the age of 18 i used to ejaculate a lot..but from last few years it is decreasing..so is that a bad sign?? god i am in big trouble i guess..god knows whats gonna happen..but really thanks for guiding me & do keep posting me..

Carrot2000 agony auntBecause of the nature of what gynecologists do, you probably won't be able to get a diagnosis on line. If you are embarrassed or uncomfortable, go to a female doctor.

How irregular are your periods? Do you go months without a period, do you sometimes skip a month or does it come at different times every month?

Of course it's not embarrassing. Believe me, the doctor will have seen and heard just about everything. I am positive if you tell him you are just worried that you might not be able to conceive that he will be able to help.

Only a doctor will be able to tell you whether you can conceive or not. So if you want to know, it would be better to speak to a doctor to be sure.
