A female Ireland age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Im 18 my partner is 41 and I notice that he has very hard morning erections but quite soft ones when we try to have sex.

Is he not attracted to me? Is it age? Is it stress?

So_Very_Confused agony auntMorning sex is better anyway.

Most men of any age have morning erections... it's called "Morning Glory" use it for all it's worth.

at 40 him being soft during sex could be

stress/nerves

drugs/alcohol

medical (high blood pressure or diabetes)

and a medical work up with an urologist is in order.... he is due for his first baseline prostate exam anyway....

Since he's 41 and you are 18 - maybe it's nerves - that he won't be able to maintain the erection and keep you happy the way a 21 year old would be able to. It may play into his mind during sex with you and psyche him out. How old was your last partner? Does he know about him?

Most men have hard morning erections, and most men have slightly softer erections during sex.

It's certainly not that he's not attracted to you - he is. but it could be a mixture of age and stress. I'm afraid it's something that he has to deal with alone. So if he thinks it's a problem, he needs to go to a doctor and get it seen to.

Whatever he does though, it's not down to you, and it's not your fault either.

The Realist agony auntThat is most likely an age thing and could be a little due to stress. I don't think it would have anything to do with you.
