writes: I recently asked a girl out on a date and we had a great night. We exchanged emails every day for a week, she then asked me out and had another great time. No kissing but laughing and loads in common. She went on holidays last Thursday and I sent her a text message.I've heard nothing back and no call. I know she went away on her own to relax and forget about work, but I'm wondering why not even a little message!

 Not necessarily. Sometimes mobiles still ring even if they are turned off. The ringing goes through to the voicemail sometimes. Still, if her phone was on, she should now know that you tried to call so she should contact you when she gets back. Do you know when she gets back?ZIM

But it's the old story really isn't it: If someone doesn't contact you it means they don't want to?

When you know she's back home give her a call - unless she calls you first!

Is she on holiday abroad? If so, (Or even if she's in the same country) she might have left her mobile behind. Some people want to leave everything behind them on holiday so they leave their phone behind as well. Believe me, I know people who do this. So relax then. When she gets back, ask her how the holiday was and then ask her out again. Right at the end of the date, I would attempt a light kiss. Sometimes people expect a kiss at the end of the date, especially the third one otherwise they begin to think that you only have platonic interest in them. However, not kissing a woman on the first date is still seen as being very chivalrous to those that remember. It shows that you care about her as a person and not just because of her looks.
