my birtday was yesterday and one of my good friends (he is also one of my exes and half a month ago it seemed like he would like me more) didn't send me birthday wishes. I don't think he forgot it because we know each other for 3 years and he was online on Facebook so he has probably seen that a lot of people wrote on my wall and he even send me birtday wishes after the break up when he didn't like me 2 years ago so when he sent me birthday wishes even then why didn't he this year? our last contact was 2 weeks ago on Facebook. did he changed his mind and can't stand me anymore? (to be honest the last time he wrote me before that i wrote him and just asked him if he could help me with maths and i know he was making out with a girl he liked two years ago(back then she just liked him as a friend) when i was in a relationship with another guy i don`t know if they still make out or have so much contact but he once told me he is just making out with her to waste time...) if i give a party should i even invite him? i am upset and sad and angry and don`t know what i should do :(

Tisha-1 agony auntHe's an ex for a reason. Don't ruin a perfectly good birthday party wondering why an ex didn't take the time to wish you a happy birthday. He has no idea why you'd be upset and honestly probably didn't even think about it. He sounds a lot selfish and okay, I'm going to say it, a lot silly.

You are not a lesser person because some ex with wandering lips and little regard for other people forgets to wish you a happy birthday.

Put any thoughts or regrets about him in a mental bucket and leave it out on the front porch for at least a week. If you think about him, distract yourself and think of all your other wonderful friends and people who DO care about you and who want the best for you. With any luck, a neighborhood dog will pee on him and the bucket will get stolen.

Don't worry about it, have fun at your party, and don't invite him.

The Realist agony auntHe may not of thought anything of it. I am wondering how good of friends he thinks you are. He may be working on phase out of you which is basically just slowly talking to you less and less. This is quite common when another girl comes into his life and it is easier to cut you out rather then explaining the whole situation to a new girl who may not trust him with you.

My advice to you is not to get so worked up about it. It was my birthday a week ago and only like two of my friends actually said anything. I didn't make a big point of doing anything special and am not offended by it. Everyone tends to be somm busy in their lives plus I just don't see a whole lot of meaning in a fb message saying "happy b-day" anyway.
