A female reader, anonymous, writes (15 May 2011):

First of all I apologise for my English, english isn't my native language but that doesn't mean I don't have good advice, so please stay with me.

Pain during sex can be caused by several things. Often the pain is caused because the girl/woman isn't wet enough. So you better ask yourself some questions: Do you get wet? Do you get really wet, not just moist?

This can be helped by relaxing and let the sex take some time. Do a lot of foreplay. And if you want to try using lube.

More questions: When does the pain occur? Is it when he penetrates or when he moves in and out or when he is as far in as possible? The most common problem here is that you've moved to fast forward. Seriously, you need to be relaxed and really want it. If you aren't wet enough the same problems occur, but if you have longer foreplay, you will get wet enough. And then there is a very small amount of women that have serious problems with penetration sex. No matter how wet the are or how relaxed the feel they are it still hurts, these girls have to train on relaxing during sex (first the do training on their own, then with their partner, etc) But as I sid before it's quite rare and most of the pain-during-sex-problems are solved by foreplay and lube.

Whenever I notice that I don't get as wet as fast as I normally do I ask my bf for massages, or try masturbating or whatever to get me going and make me more in the mood.

good luck!

A male reader, PortOr United States +, writes (15 May 2011):

PortOr agony auntHey dear,

As uncle dave said, you must try using lube. But you might be also suffering from Vaginismus. Read about it. If its your first time, then you might still have unbroken hymen. However, if its not, then you have to read about vaginismus. The home remedy for it is to finger yourself 2 twice a day - 6 reps each time. essentially you start with putting 1 figer in your vagina, once you are comfortable try putting 2 and go on until you are able to put 4 fingers. each rep should be for 45 secs to 1 min.

I know this for sure because my wife suffered from this and I can see the improvement. All the best.

A female reader, auntyR United Kingdom +, writes (15 May 2011):

yeah lube will help. Also think about using this position, it really helped me. I find if he is on top i can get a bit sore after a while, so get him to lay on his side so your back is against his stomach, then you put your leg over his legs so he can penetrate you. This positions means that you decide how far he goes into you, so if it hurts you can stop him from going to deep. There are some good websites for sex positions, have a look and try a few things out. You will find something to suit you before you know it.

Sounds like you may need to do more foreplay beforehand to get yourself wet. Also have you used lube?
