when i lost my virginity i bled a tiny bit, but since then i have had sex about 7 times (quite reguarly, like 2-3times a week) but i have bled more after each time. im not talking like a dot of blood, but alot - alot more than when i lost my virginity. is this because sex is lasting for longer and is ""rougher"" or is there something wrong with me? I dont want to go to the doctors unless i really have to!!

cd206 agony auntIt's very possible to bleed after rough sex. However it can also be a result of an STI so see the doctor to put your mind at rest. Yes it's embarassing but some STI's if let untreated can cause big problems for you so it's as well to be safe.

CarrieMagdelene agony auntI didn't bleed when I lost my virginity, or their after. I agree that sex can bring on a period a few days early, though. That may be the case. If, during intercourse, you feel a lot of pain due to roughness, ask him to stop. Even if you're not having a rough intercourse and it really hurts, either your hymen hasn't torn or stretched enough, or you might have a medical condition that requires treatment. The only way to be sure is if you check with your doctor reguarding this unexplained bleeding. :) Good luck! -Carrie

melschatbox agony auntHere's my speculation on your problem:

1.) Maybe the hymen did not break/tear correctly and you are still suffering through that

2.) You are having sex for the sake of having sex. Hence, your not in the mood so your body is not lubricated well enough. Your tissue is dry and with friction causes tearing and bleeding.

Whatever the case, bleeding after sex is not normal. Have your doctor take a look. It's a perfect time to ask him/her about birth control and questions regarding sex.

Good Luck

The best and only solutions to this is to go to your Doctors. Don't worry you will not be the first! They will put your mind at rest. It shouldn't be heavy and should have stopped by now so go and get checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.

Take care

appygal81 agony auntI agree with Lex. go see a doctor. i never bled when i lost my virginity or their after, the only bleeding i get is when i have sex just before my period ( a day or two) it triggers my period to come a little early. see adoctor to make sure all is in order.

Hi,

When two of my friends lost their viginity the same thing occured.Eventually it stopped but we dont know what caused it. it may be because her is being to rought with you. however i think you should chech out a doctor because you are having sex too regular for this to still be. their's stopped after 4-6 times. Go to the doctor.
