A female reader, myp United States +, writes (4 July 2007):

myp agony auntThe morning after pill is EMERGENCY contraception. My friend said she used it once after a condom broke and she vomited profusely and got her period right away, its NOT fun. And these are the typical side effects of the EC pill.

SO for everyday, use condoms AND a birthcontrol pill, patch or ring. Condoms are the only thing that protect you from std's and HIV/AIDS. They say if youve had unprotected sex with four partners minimum you almost absolutely have an STD or STI, so make sure you're careful.

best of luck

Danielepew agony auntMaybe my concept is wrong, but I understand safe sex to be the way to avoid diseases. So I don't think the morning after pill is an example of safe sex. The condom is. Maybe you can add a second contraceptive, like the pill, if you don't want a pregnancy. But I think a physical barrier is what qualifies as safe sex.

A reader, anonymous, writes (4 July 2007):

You

should seek advice from your doctor for the pill, its called cilest and its in a tablet form you take it everyday with a brake for your period. you can also get the pill injection which you get every 3 months, or the implant which is put in your arm and releases hormones on a regular basis, it lasts for about 3-5 year. You should always use condoms as they protect from std's!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (4 July 2007):

the morning after pill is one you take as soon as possible and up to three days after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy but it's not guaranteed to work, especially if you don't take it asap. you should use condoms because pills dont protect against STDs but you should also consider a regular contraceptive pill, one that you take every day for 3 weeks, having a break for your period. you should go to your doctor and ask more about this type of pill. be safe and have fun
