BASICALLY; I want my ex back. It wasn't even serious when we went out because we were young and immature and relationships meant nothing. But yeah, now i have a boyfriend and it's all good I guess but this year I'm changing (for my self confidence) so I want to try and catch my ex's eye because I feel really attracted to him and not really my boyfriend anymore. I feel bad about breaking up with my boyfriend because he likes me a lot, but what ever. My ex talked to me a little and i got so happy, but I want him to like me. What could I do this year to get him? Be flirty? Should I break up with my boyfriend now because I'm having feelings for someone else? This is a mess and I just want my ex to want me. Please help!!! Thanks :)

A female reader, miso31 United States +, writes (22 August 2008):

You should break up with the current boy because it sounds as if you don't care for him very much at all. Even if he's the nicest guy in the world, you're clearly over it and need to end things with him. It's really unfair to drag someone along just until the next guy comes around. After you have broken up with him, you can drop some hints with your ex. Just expect that he might not want to see you again, depending on how things ended the first time around. Try to find someone new to fancy.
