chickpea2011 agony auntHi,

Whatever reasons she's behaving this way, bottom line is, she's not the friend she used to be. For whatever reasons she changed. I think it's best to distance yourself from her for a little while. She's negative person in your life.

Real friends don't compete with each other, don't brag about things, or people. She's clearly not a true feeling, so there's no need to keep her in your life. Friends support each other, understand each other, make each other happy. She's stress in your life.

Good luck

Aunty Susie agony auntIt sounds more a case of your friend feeling inadequate when she is around you. This could possibly be why she feels the need to 'brag' as you say, about who she know etc. You need to let her know ,that you are friends regardless of who does what, and how much either earns. Best wishes.
