Question - (5 February 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 5 February 2008)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

There is this boy who is a year younger than me and we started emailing because we both have the same friend but I really fancy him but he seems really shy as he's younger and I don't know what he feels.

At first he didnt know who I was, but then when he did it was just a week ago. Anyway, he has this friend who knows me because his older brother is in my class sometimes at school but I don't actually know him I just know of him. I walked passed them today and one of his friends waved at me and the other who was the brother said "hi *my name*" but he wasnt laughing or smiling in a kind making fun of me, it was kind of strange because he had no expression :S. I emailed the boy I like and said how do they know me? But hasn't replied yet. I think he's telling everyone about me but i dont know what hes saying. He might be saying i like him, I don't know! But when the two friends were saying hi to me he didn't look at me, and kind of turned.

He wasn't laughing but maybe was embarrassed or shy? On email he says really nice stuff and isnt horrible but I think his friends are strange around me but I dont know if they're making fun even though they're not laughing. I'm really confused, and I'm shy myself. lol sorry this question is too long ..

AskEve agony auntThis friend of yours doesn't seem ready to be in a relationship with a girl yet. Girls mature faster than boys and I think he's quite happy with his friends for now. Give it a couple of years and I'm sure things will be different.
