Not alot of clothes as the majority of the time he shall be wearing his uniform. x-box or playstation games will be pretty pointless aswell as he doesnt have an xbox / playstation thereso as you can see.. i really cant think of anything as with hi going away he cant take alot with him.. please help?

 Doe he have an i-pod? you could fill it with his/your favourite songs, it is something he could listen to when he is off duty.
If he already has one then what about a new phone, one that has all the gadgets on it, i am not too sure what they are allowed to take on the boat with them, but these two things are good presents.
If he has both what about a nice heavy sweater to keep out all the chills on board?
Maybe the best thing to do is just ask him? sometimes men prefer that, cause they usually know what they want and it does make it easier for you, good luck.
