A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Before i tell u my life story i would first like to say sorry for how much i am going to write its just im becoming more and more paranoid and feel as though im going insane ):

So here goes, yes it is about a boy and me and him are both 14. It started when we all moved into year 10 u see this involved a move of school i never knew this guy as he never went to my previous school. Anyway in the summer holidays before we started our new school i started talking to him a little bit over msn and i now know him a lot better and he now knows me alot better too.

When starting at this new school i noticed that he would say more and more to me as the days progressed and i realised that he actually doesn’t make an effort with any1 else. Anyway he has been going out with this girl from my previous school and i know he can do better they’ve been together now for about a month and they have been out before only she cheated on him :o how she cud do that to such an amazing guy like him i don’t know.

Recently though, things have been alot different between myself and him. We have became a lot closer as in we can talk about anything However we have a weird type of friend relationship that i am personally finding it hard to figure out what he means from what he says. I was going out with his friend but the guy ive been on about u cud say ‘split us up’ and this part really confuses me u see he used to tease my bf saying that he knows something about me that my bf doesn’t and he made my bf paranoid and eventually he dumped me because he thought there was a secret going on between myself and the boy i think im falling in love with. Ever since me and my ex split up the guy im in question about keeps saying i sucked my ex off when i was going out with him and trying to figure out how far me and him got – which wasn’t that far becuz wewere not going out long enough. HE often asks me will i ever go back out with my ex and i think why would he care anyway as I never knew him at all until i moved which was about 5 months ago or something. I'm really finding it hard to cope as this guy is constantly sending me mixed signals and the hardest thing is i think he knows he's doing it. He does everything that points to him liking me but the only issue is i don’t have the confidence to believe he does as i don’t think of myself as a thin pretty girl..

He kicks me under the desk in English but he does it so playfully and he doesn’t do it to my friend who sits next to me. He is always poking me in the sides to make me turn around he has also now grown attached to my scarf the other day he stole it off me and ran up the maths stairs knowing i would follow him and wen we got to the top he grabbed my arm to stop me getting it – and i felt a deep connection but i doubt he did. He treats me way nicer than his gf he always tells his gf to go away whne she cums to talk to him. What can i do and say to him to help this situation.

I really like himmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!

A female reader, Charleybabes0811 United Kingdom +, writes (20 November 2008):

I know what you're going through, and from the sound of it, he does like you.

But i had an incident like this, where he would do all the little flirty things with me, and then he ended up not liking me at all.

Wait for him and his gf to finish, and if he likes you, that wont be far away.

And play hard to get a bit, not letting him know you like him like you do, and dont let him jepordise your relationships while he's in one, cause he's probably just jealous.

xx
