writes:Okay, so I like this guy that I do theatre with in my town...we're friends. He's nice, funny, attractive, and smart. We go to different schools, but we see eachother each week for play practice. My other really good friend (who's also boy) is also in the play, and we get along really well and laugh and talk all the time. The boy I like seems to be jealous sometimes and stares at me and then butts in on the conversations. Also, he always sits near me, makes jokes and flirts, and laughs at all my jokes. He is a generally flirty person, but does he like me? That's my question. Help please...what are the normal signs that a guy likes a girl?

reader, anonymous, writes (19 November 2007): It sounds like he does like you. Especially if you catch him staring at you alot, that means he definitely likes you. And the way that you describe him he sounds cool too. But yeah for sure he likes you. If you like him back just keep being nice to him. But keep being yourself. If you would like to take it further as in perhaps go out or something, I would probably wait for him to ask. Or just keep doing what you are doing cause it is working for you and just let things unfold on their own. If it is meant to happen it will. Good luck.

My thought are that if a guy likes you he will make time for you, make eye contact with you, laugh with you, generally make an effort but sometimes guys are just like that with people they get along with, its very hard to say for definate, it sounds like he likes you but sometimes men just find it fun to flrt with people even if they dont think anything will come of it. Be strong and ask him, he will appreciate what a confident young woman you are if you just ask.
