 It could just be a stage he is going through, mabey he is stressed over something. Whatever the reason i think comunication is the key issue here. You need to have a serious chat and tell him how you are feeling, and that you are unsatisfied with the amount of love you have been getting lately.
It does sound odd as you have only been together for 6 months, i could maybe understand if you said six years.

 You may be different people than you were six months ago. Think about what made you two happy before. When he gets home, try giving him a kiss that will blow his socks off, lock the door, hit the lights, and I guarantee you that he'll come around.
