I used to do the same thing with my boyfriend and think nothing of it but i became pregnant over christams and had an abortion. This was the hardest thing i have evr been through as we both definately wernt ready for children! I would strongly advise you go and get a test, and whatever happens and whatever decsion you make be careful in futre, this could effect your entire life.

There's a possibility that you are pregnant. Take a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant consider the options between abortion, adoption and keeping it. If you aren't then remember to use a condom next time. Also go to a clinic to have tests done for STIs.

First thing periods can be erratic so thats nothing to worry over, your boobs won't react that quick. Wait about two weeks if you haven't started by then go see your docter tell them the situation, if you are pregnant you can keep it or get rid of it. Next time once this blows over go on the pill, much easier and if any accidents happen you'll be covered.

xxxsoulsistaxxx agony auntObviously a condom should be used every time he even comes near you with his pants down, sperm have a way of getting where they want to be! There is pre-cum which comes out of the penis when they become aroused so before you even start having sex so it has been known for this to cause pregnancy.

It's a low possibility but nevertheless, it is possible. Please stop putting yourself at risk like this and use a condom every time! You're hormones may be affecting your boobs as you near your period so don't jump to conclusions you are pregnant.

Good luck and if you haven't come on in a couple of weeks, get a test done.

A female reader, DrPsych United Kingdom +, writes (20 March 2007):

DrPsych agony auntThere are lots of reasons why your period could be late including stress! However, your approach is contraception could certainly mean that you are pregnant. Men lose preejaculate semen before the 'main event' and it only takes one nifty sperm to do the job. There is only one way to tell for sure and that is a pregnancy test. However you should be aware that even if it is negative that could mean your pregnancy hormones in your urine sample are not high enough to be detected rather than not being pregnant. If you find out your are not pregnant using the test, take another test next week to be sure. If you still don't get your period in a couple of weeks then see a GP as there maybe another medical explanation.
