A reader, anonymous, writes (17 May 2009):

Ok, so you had sex. Was it a meaningful, loving experience for both of you, a meeting of both mind and body or just a meaningless release of tension by giving in to basic instincts?

Meaningless sex is rather like a decent bowel movement - once you've had it you no longer need it. Maybe that's how he's feeling.

Ask him why and confront him, make him give you reasons, if he has none than he probably just used you for sex

Is your age correct? Just wondering.

You gave him what he wanted so he's done. You guys might remain friends but, he's gonna move on. He got what he wanted and it's over.

It could mean a lot of things. He obviously likes you enough to still want to be near you as a friend but as far not being more than that you need to ask him.
