A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

So me and my boyfriend have been together for just over 2 years now. We love eachother very much but recently broke up and got back together. since we got back together i feel like it hasnt been the same. i dont know how to feel... sometimes i feel like we are just holding on to something that isint there anymore! we argue all the time now and i feel myself causing arguments for no reason! im only 24 and the reason we broke up is because i felt he was putting me second and never put me or my feelings first he just wanted to go out with his mates all the time.. i felt like he only wanted to see me when his mates werent doing anything! whenever he isint working he is with his friends.. i kissed someone else last night at a party and i dont think i should stay with him now because its not fair on him.. what should i do?

A male reader, The Realist Canada +, writes (24 August 2010):

The Realist agony auntI think you know that the relationship is over. The strange feeling you have now is your mind trying to over power the heart which is telling you there is no love here. I would leave him now so that you can get on with your life and find someone else. You don't want to waste another year deciding whether you like him or not then end it. Most break ups drastically change things that can not go back to the way that they were.
