I was seeing a close friend of mine for 2 years. We both had feelings for each other but he wouldn't commit to a relationship with me even though we were exclusive because he didn't want the hassles that a relationship brought. Whatever those are!

Anyway, at Christmas we decided to be friends and I've now started a relationship with someone else. When I told him, all he said was "I guess I won't be seeing you then". I asked him why he didn't want to see me anymore and he replied "I do, just thought your bf wouldnt like it". What does this mean?

He knows I wouldn't give up on our friendship just because I'm now in a relationship, and my new bf has nothing to worry about, so why would he even need to tell me not to see my friends?

Sounds like hes a bit jealous, not because he wants to go out with you himself, but because you have found a boyfriend and hes still single, hes scared hes going to lose you as a friend.

Dont let your new relationship suffer because of him, remember, hes the one who didnt want to commit.
