My 5 year old daughter has started asking me about how she got in my belly and if I had my legs spread. Yeah a 5 year old is asking me this. Kinda crazy isn't it? I'm at a loss for words and I would very much like some advice. I told her that mommy and daddy loved each other- we are currently divorced. I want her to be able to come to me with questions, I just don't know how to approach it- are there books out there that I can invest in?

My son at 6 asked me the same thing kids don't need a huge explanation I told him that when mommy and daddy were ready god gave us a gift and that was him and when it was time he came out of my belly he did however ask me how and I told him that the doctors take the baby and he didn't ask any further if you want books go to the kids section in the library and ask the librarian they can help Good luck just keep it short and sweet!
