 Missionary is acutally the best for first timers. It is more intimate and easier to Maneuver.
Spooning sex actually takes a little more experiance with the person you are with. She has to be in the correct position to receive you, you have to be able to get in there and stay in there without slipping out, she will be tight anyway but doing it from the back will make her even tighter expecially if her legs are together etc,etc,etc.
And yes eye contact is pretty much impossible if you are behind her.
My advice: Missionary and then spoon afterward.
