I'm 19, and I am experiencing low sex drive?

A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Alright everyone first off I'm 19, and this should not be happening. I do not know what's going on? I took a pro horomone (testosterone booster) to gain muscle and I took a cycle of it 1 1/2 months ago. It's an extreme testosterone booster, blocks all estrogen, and contains milk thistle (not sure if that's a factor?). Anyways, the first time me and my girlfriend had sex I came no problem. But recently, I've not been able to cum at all. We recently had sex and I went limp after 5 minutes?! It's very embarrassing! Should I see a doctor to see if this supplement has messed up my sex drive? It's very odd, I'm horny and as soon as I put it in, it instantly went away. Like the feeling after you cum, that's how I felt after 5 minutes and went limp. My girlfriend is understanding, but to me this is devastating! So my question is, should I see a doctor or what? The pill I took everyday twice a day for about a month. I never took a post cycle either to get my horomone levels back to normal. I've been off this cycle for 1 1/2 months. It's also very frustrating to have your gorgeous girlfriend laying next to you and wanting to have sex, and then go limp after 5 minutes. However, this is the first time this has ever happened to me in my life. I have had sex with her before for 3 hours. But recently it's been like I have ED or something. What is going on, please help me!

A female reader, Emilysanswers United Kingdom +, writes (3 August 2009):

Yep you mess with your hormones you are going to have side effects.

Why do you think women on the pill suffer so much?

Do NOT take any more weird hormone things and see your doctor to check and see if you have done any serious damage.

It could be just one of these things that will solve itself and it could be something more serious.

When you swallow un prescribed drugs you have no idea what will happen. It's never worth the risk.

Good Luck!! xx
