Should I take 'Plan B' as there was no protection?

Question - (26 September 2011) 4 Answers - (Newest, 27 September 2011)
A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Yesterday I attempted to have sex for the first time with a stranger and while drunk.

The thing is he didn't have a condom on and I'm not quite sure if we actually had sex or not since I was inebriated and inexperienced. I remember that it hurt a lot and at some point he mentioned that I wasn't wet enough and it wasn't going in. We tried leaving the frat house we were at and I was intercepted by some friends in the process.

I know his penis was near my vagina, but I don't know if there was any sort of penetration. Since there was no protection, should I take Plan B?

tennisstar88 agony auntAt 18-21 you should know exactly what sex is..Unless you were completely unconscious, then you should know whether or not(drunk or not) you had sex.

You might as well go to your local pharmacy and buy Plan-B. Just to be on the safe side, I would get STD testing done at your local clinic too. Pick up birth control and free condoms while you're there as well.

Some frat boys aren't exactly clean, if you catch my drift.

I know I made a bad decision and being drunk is no excuse and all that. The thing is, the deed was done and it's too late to not do it; therefore, there is no need to lecture me on all that stuff. I know.

I believe that the pain was from him trying to insert his penis in. I'm a relatively small person, so that paired with the fact it was my first time made it difficult.

You said it hurt a lot, if there was no penetration then what was hurting?

Seems you should speak to this guy to see if you can get a better idea of what happened, and if you can't do that, go talk to a professional and get advice.

Don't forget there are risks of STD's as well as pregnancy.

Honeypie agony auntWell, seems like you need to go get yourself a book on sex ed. Why would you go have sex for the first time, drunk, with some random stanger? And then NOT use protection? You plan on using The Plan B pill as birthcontrol in the future? If so, you are playing Russian Roulette. Use proper birth control. Don't have random sex.

It is possible that sperm was present. It is possible that some entered your vagina.

Do you have any health counselors at the college (if you are at college) - if so go ask.

Sorry, if you are at the age of 18-21 you should know better.
