i like this guy and we were sort of seeing each other and we really liked each other, but we're not seeing each other now. when we split, we didn't talk for a while and we've just started talking again and I really want him back, but we don't text each other very often and I don't want to be texting him all the time in case it looks like I'm too pushy or clingy. should i text him or leave it or...what? i'm really stuck!

A female reader, mcbirdie United Kingdom +, writes (20 May 2007):

mcbirdie agony auntI would take it slow. Why rush? It takes time to get your feet back after a period of not talking at all...things can be awkward and you both need time to think about what you want.

Don't push or over-think it too much. Text him occasionally when you have something to say. Leave him alone (so he has a chance to miss you, or see if he does at least) when you don't. Relationships don't have to run like a race...take your time and enjoy the fluttery time.

Best of luck.
