Hi there Agony Aunts and Uncles. I suppose it's not a big deal as I probably will never see these two guys again, but I still need your say on the matter because I don't know if I'm being too soft or too hard on this one guy. I had my prom just a few days ago - as many of you know, and I was in a really nice red dress and to be honest I was really pleased and thought I looked great!...but the evening was sort of ruined... a guy I had known since my first year at high school was there obviously - he was in my year. I knew that he fancied me even without him actually saying it to my face. It's been about four years, and he only got the vourage to say it to me about a year ago...and I said no basically, but that we could be friends.

Anyway, prom was a blast, the food was great and my prom 'mate' was a laugh (only friends) all in all it was a FAB time. Then about half an hour towards the end I went outside for some cool air. Quite a lot of people were outside, it was dark and everyone had to find a bit of bench or wall to sit on. So I was sitting there with my prom mate and this guy that fancies me comes up and sits on the bench arm and starts chatting. I thought nothing of it of course, but then he started getting closer, and eventually said to me "budge up" so he could sit on the bench next to me. My prom mate looked at me funny...and then the guy started nudging up closer to me. I just sort of tried to continue conversing, I asked them both how long it took them to get ready etc joking about how I took all day - you know. Then - out of NOWHERE the guy puts his head on my shoulder and I look at my prom date/mate and he raises his eyebrow.

Well, I didn't really know what to do, so I just said "oh, sorry my should hurts a bit" and I sort of just pushed him off =/ then he said ok and put his head on my lap!! but then he got off really quickly because my date was like "errr.....". Siiiiiiiiigh, ugh sorry I'm getting exasperated. So, after that, I said to my date and the guy that I had to go - it was time to leave. The guy held out his arms and said "can I at least have a hug?" and I said "fiiiiine" trying to make it seem light hearted, but then he wouldn't let go and I tugged a bit and then he slapped my bum!!!? When that happened my date got kind of mad and sais to the guy that he shouldn't have done it and that it was degrading and you shouldn't do that to a girl etc etc. O_o ahhhhhhh!!! Then thay had a big old facebook fight which everyone could see.... =( Later on the guy started talking to me on facebook and said that he was really sorry "from the bottom of his heart" he said....I said I really didn't like it but that I forgave him - was that right? Was I too soft? Should I have told him off more? Or was it just right....I mean he is only 16 (my age) after all... =/

Thanks, would appreciate any advice!

What do you mean by petty? =/ I just needed a question answering isn't that what this site is for? =( Oh and..my dress wasn't ruined, I meant my prom night was a little ruined, I wanted it to be perfect and it kind of spoiled it.

Wise Woman of the Forest agony auntThis sounds a little petty and the guy sounds like a creep. How did your dress get ruined though? And your prom date may have a little crush on you... (;
