A female reader, DrPsych United Kingdom +, writes (16 May 2009):

DrPsych agony auntGo to your GP and ask for a referral to a dermatologist. If there is no suitable medical treatment, they maybe able to suggest make-up suitable for covering scars. Alternatively if you can save the money or have health insurance, laser treatment may be a suitable option for your scars if they cause you distress. There are many cosmetic surgery clinics such as those in Harley Street, London offering solutions to this sort of a problem. The first stop would be a visit to your GP however as it would be best to have a specialist look at your legs.
