A male United States age 26-29, anonymous writes:

I walked in to my favorite coffee shop today and I saw that there was a new barista and I immediately thought he was cute. After I ordered my drink I sat across from the pick up area with my mom. When I saw the barista make my drink I was feeling extra excited because I ordered my favorite drink and was really excited to drink it. I was doing my happy dance and in a singing voice said "that's my drink". The barista looked over at me and chuckled to himself. He called me to pick up my drink. when he handed me my drink we made eye contact and I felt a connection between us. Then we smiled at each other. Our stares lingered for a little too long considering the fact we were strangers. Being the shy girl that I am, I said thanks and left the coffee shop immediately. Now I can't stop thinking about if he felt the connection that I felt. I already know this is going to keep me up tonight. And did I mention he is really cute. Is it possible he felt the connection too? Could he be interest in me?

You've said nothing to suggest that there might be a connection on his part. The smiles and extended eye contact doesn't mean there's a special connection...it's his duty to connect with customers so that they will return. Go back for more purchases and you'll either figure this out yourself or have more info to share with us. Good luck!

Denizen agony auntWhy don't you write in when you have received more than one glance and a smile over your cup of coffee. I failed my O' level exam on crystal ball gazing so it's difficult to help you further. I'm pleased you are feeling the thrill of a possible romance, but it sounds from your post as if you are conjuring something out of very little.

being a cute kind of barrista with a twinkling kind of eye he is gonna attract a lot of attention, male and female.

if he values his job and needs to take home his paycheck to pay the rent and buy food, clothes and to cover extra necessities he would have to be a damned idiot to want to have any kind of relationship with any of the customers.

This barrista has a fan club and you can be a fully paid up member of his fan club providing you pay for your cofee.

As a member of his fan club you can look and lust but that is all.

There is no deeper connection than that.

But if you save your hard earned cash you can buy coffee there any time and you will probably get a smile to go with it.
