Hi, I would just like to say that I have had the same issue when I was younger. I still have that issue with my breast. I also would like to know why this is. One of my breast is a size c and the other is an A. I really have a problem with it because it sometimes makes me insercure. I really don't agree with plastic surgery but if I had the money or could save enough (which will be hard since I am a college student) I would like to have my breast done to look more natural or normal. I sometimes ask myself all of the time why most females can have breast that are the same size and i am stuck looking crazy with two different sized breast. If anyone could be of any help of explaining this more to me I would really appreciate it!

You're normal.

I'm 16, One of my breast is a B one is an A.

Honestly, I never want to be shirtless around my boyfriend.

We've been dating for 9months and still haven't done anything involving me without a shirt, because of how embarassed I am.

Obviously, who wouldn't be?

I always have sharp pains in my left one, my right is bigger.

I noticed its usually the left thats bigger? Hmm different

Anyways I think most girls do have this problem.

Hope we can all get our boobs up to date with the other, ay? good day to you ladies.

my boobs are the same one fits in my bra and the other is to small it is not that your weird but if you have scoliosist and you have to wear a brace then it is completely normal for your boobs to look that way scoliosist is the problem if you have it because one of your bones is popping forward i am barely twelve and sense i am still young my boobs will most likely be the same size if i get rid of this brace soon!!!any more questions just reply to me...

I have also the same problem my left one is bigger than my right one, and that just happen like a year a go, right now i am 20 so i don't really think it depends on age.

I think we should not make a great deal about this one of my friends told me that if a guys makes fun of u about that issue u should tell thm that they got a testicle bigger than the other one, and that's really normal on guys.

So don't worry i guess we just have to deal with it.

It means you're totally normal! While boobs come in pairs, they're not always a perfect match. Your two breasts can develop at different rates. This will even out eventually. In the meantime, keep in mind that the difference in size is usually only noticeable to you. If you feel really self-conscious you can pad one side of your bra.

Even after puberty is over, most women's breasts, like the two sides of our faces, differ a little from each other, but it's usually not noticeable to anyone else.

Hope this information helps!

A female reader, anonymous, writes (15 March 2008):

Don't feel bad sweetheart! I'm 19 years old and I also have this problem, but mine is a huge difference. I just had a baby about four months ago so I know my breasts are going to be weird for quite a while. They might catch up but then again they may not. Like everyone else has said, bras can help it be less noticeable, actually, My grandma only has one breast. Several years ago she had breast cancer and they had to remove a breast, but she got a special pad for it and she looks totally normal.

I've told my husband that I know my breasts are different sizes, but he doesn't care. It's normal and everyone knows it, but we just need to learn to accept ourselves the way we are or if we can't do that, find a way to fix it. I hope you found a way.

IM 15 and have the same problem my right is bigger than the left.so it is normal i sometimes wear padded bras so it wont be to noticable to other ppl... I heard that it doesnt even out to your fully deveolped i also heard that it can be a sign of breast cancer so get it checked out...the thing i know of what to do is to get surgery you get and implant in the one that is smaller to even it out with the other...you can tell your parents and see if they can help...i havent dont that cuz im embarassed but there is no reason to be cuz its normal...maybe you can find a doctor and talk to him/her about, even try to find one online

Hi anonymus,

I have an a cup on my left side and a d cup on my right. It is embarrassing at times and overbearing. I've cried myself to sleep at night, wondering why me?? You should research Polands syndrome. I went 18 long years with no idea what was wrong with me and I discovered a p.s. support site. I highly recommend it. I'm not sure if you look at this account anymore or not but if you want someone to talk to you can email me at [email address blocked]

A female reader, TasteofIndia United States +, writes (13 March 2007):

TasteofIndia agony auntHey sweetness,

I work with naked girls. Really, yes, I do... and let me tell you, none of their boobs look the same and most of them have two different sized breasts. Some are really emphasized and some are less obvious, but no pair of boobs are perfectly symmetrical.

I agree with everyone else, go into a women's underwear boutique (like Victoria's Secret) and they'll surely have a solution for you. Maybe you can get a bra that fits the larger one and then get a pad for the other cup? Lots of bras come with removable padding already in them, just remove one of the pads and not the other?

I see hundreds of naked women. I assure you, you're no different from anyone else, sweetness!

lamo agony auntyes it is there is nothing in this world that are the same. if you feel it is really really noticeable go see your doctor dont worry about it that much (seeing your doctor) they have seen it all before. tell them how your bras feel and c if they can do. apart from that no one notices. to make you feel better my left one is bigger than my right. i cant win as if i get the bigger size my right looks wried and if i get a smaller one the left pops out. no man has ever sed anything about it and my mate they wud tell me if my ex has since he is my ex and we are really close. i hope this has made you feel better

A reader, anonymous, writes (12 March 2007):

It is a known fact that every woman has a breast bigger than the other. It will even out in time, but one will always be bigger than the other. If there is a huge difference there are bras that you can find that hides the difference and yu can feel more comfortable. Ask your mom to take you to a clothing store, and try out difgferent kinds of bras, experiment.

A female reader, dragonette Sweden +, writes (12 March 2007):

dragonette agony auntWell at 15 (almost 16) your body might still be changing, and there's a chance your other breast might catch up in size.

Also, please be aware that our bodies are not completely symmetrical, and if you look at your face in the mirror you will notice that both halves are not exactly the same. To take an extreme example from real life, I can mention that I have a friend who has one leg which has bones which are a bit thicker than the other leg.

It's not that unusual for women to have one breast a bit bigger than the other. If it's uncomfortable for you when you wear a bra, get a bra that fits the bigger breast and put a small gel-pad in the cup of the smaller breast. And next time you go to an underwear boutique you can ask the clerk if she has any clever solutions for your dilemma since doubtlessly she has come across this type of issue before.

Good luck!

/dragonette
