writes:My girlfriend (of 2 years) and me were making love. I called her by the wrong name by mistake. She really mad at me and than she started crying and storm off. I've been calling her like crazy with no answer and went to her place but her roommate told me she doesn't want to talk to me. She was cheated on a lot before we met. I would never cheat on her I mean the thought have never cross my mind once. Are we over? By the way it was her birthday.

 Ooops! Give her space for a while, if she doesn't want to talk then don't keep pestering her because it will make it worse.
Send her a text saying you love her and you are sorry, Leave it for a week then try and drop round her house.
Shes going to be angry at you. If your not cheating then you were thinking about someone else, this is going to take alot of sorrys and she might have lost trust in you which you will have to gain back.

reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2009): oopsie, big mistake. the important think is to remember, no matter how convinced you are it meant nothing, in her mind there must be loads of thoughts going round, and one of those is obviously goin to be "he was thinking of someone else while making love to me".you need to give her some time. shes angry right now and its understandable why. make sure to give her space, but also making her feel loved and wanted and that you want to make it right. its a hard one, but if you are truly in love, you will work it out. expect alot of grovelling on your side though!

reader, anonymous, writes (14 June 2009): The same happened to me but the other way round.I was going out with a girl and we were very serious about each other. one day my girl called me by my best friends name. although she immediately apologized and didn't know why that happened but still i was very hurt at the time and I showed it.but I realise now it was a mistake coz after all we were toghether most of the time.

You can't actually blame her for being annoyed,even if you weren't cheating on her you must of been thinking of someone else.Serious grovelling needed here.Try and put your feelings into a letter so she can read it,and understand how you feel.Even if you try and talk to her she wouldn't hear you,as she would still be angry.Good luck
