No PMS this month. Could I be pregnant?

A female United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

This may seem like a silly question, but I can't find the information anywhere else!

Okay, so I'm supposed to start my period sometime within the next week or so. I usually start anywhere from the 9th-13th of each month. However, two weeks in advance, I usually go crazy with severe PMS symtpoms. I get really depressive, have crazy cramps, and my skin breaks out like you wouldn't believe. I also have slight fatigue as well.

This month, however, the only thing remotely close is that my skin broke out a little-nothing compared to what it usually does. I've been pretty content and haven't hit that moody depressive stage. And, I've experienced one or two MILD cramps that went away within minutes. No fatigue either. I've had these symptoms since I started menstruating on a normal cycle (I used to be really abnormal)

I just started having sex with my fiance about a month ago and I wasn't concerned until the absence of my usual symptoms. And no, I'm not taking any BC pills yet (just got my student loan so I can afford some) So please no petty lectures on "safe sex" I'd appreciate it if the answers pertained specifically to my question and not my sexual practices.

So could my symptoms just be differing this month or could I possibly be pregnant?

lexilou agony auntIf you are pregnant you would normally have had other signs like nausea, boobs tingling, strange metallic taste in mouth (although my boobs tingle when Im due on too). If you are due on any day then take a pregnancy test it should show up already x

natasia agony auntWell, it could be either. If you previously had irregular symptoms, then it settled into reliable pms as you described, then it could be either that the cycle is changing again, or that you're pregnant.

I would think it is most likely that you are pregnant, as the symptoms of pms wouldn't just disappear like that in one month. I think if it were going away, it would take a few months to do so. When cycles change, it usually happens over a few months' cycles.

So, yay, you could be pregnant. ! If you really want to know early, do what I did - try an OVULATION test - if it shows up positive now (which it shouldn't at this stage), and stays positive for days, then it's picking up the (can I remember this right?) alpha chain of the hcg from pregnancy. Go try it. : )
