reader, anonymous, writes (9 August 2008): The bleeding was a withdrawal bleed because you missed a weeks worth of pills. It's just your pill break but not at the end of the packet.
Withdrawal bleeds are not natural periods, so just because you're bleeding doesn't mean you're not pregnant.
I don't see how you can forget so many pills and unless you're sure this won't happen again then you need to start a new contraceptive like the depo injection which lasts for three months a time.

reader, anonymous, writes (8 August 2008): If you miss only one pill, you must use a different form of protection such as a condom, untill you are protected, there should be instructions that come with the pack. It's unlikey that you are pregnant if you have had your period, but you should make sure by taking a pregnancy test.
As Emily has suggested, if you cannot remember to take the pill, go see your doctor and ask for the implant instead. If you come from the UK, they use a type of implant that provides you protection for 3months and it does not interfer with your fertility

Well if you missed that many pills then your body has probably been thrown off its cycle and so your early period is probably something to do with that.
There is a chance that you could be pregnant as you had unprotected sex and weren't taking the pill properly.
You should take a test just in case.
Other things you need to think about are making sure this does not happen again. Why not find out about the contraceptive implant so you don't have to remember pills. Also, if you miss a pill again then use a condom.

 Yes you could be pregnant but you also couldn't your period might of just come early.
I think its worth taking a pregnancy test. Just incase.
