writes:hi everyone, im back for another question.haha. well i was so impressed with the answer for the last one. :)as some of you may know im new to the area (birmingham) but i find it very hard to meet new people and make friends. i know i need to join something but i dont know what.i love clubbing and would like to meet people that would welcome me to go too as its hardly a good idea going on your own.haha, bit boring.cheers, any ideas?Will

 I am actually in a similar situation. I just moved to a big city and the only people I know here are my family, but no one my age really.
I go out on my own all the time! Every time I have been out on my own I have met all sorts of people! You just have to stay positive and blow it off if someone acts snobby. People are a lot nicer than you would think. Just go sit at the bar for awhile and try to start conversations with people there, or even the bartenders. If you get to know the bartender, and go to the same bars often you will run into the same people and meet friends.

 Hey just do whatever you used to do back in your city, hang out and the park, meet someone interesting and then go from there. Just go everywhere to meet people, while at the same time getting used to this new city you live in.:]

 Do you have any hobbies? Sports that you enjoy? I'm sure they would have something that would take your interest, Try looking online or in the local newspaper for social groups.Hope this helped :)Dolly.

 Hi,Isn't there someone on here that you could meet up with that live in birmingham, i'd offer my own services but i live in leicester lol.You could try singles bars and stuff like that if your into that alot of people go there on their own a friend of mine has met some cool people in a singles bar,sorry if thats not much use.
