I've been with my boyfriend for about 9 months. We meet on a trip I did to Cuba. My sister and mom went to Cuba recently it was my mom first time meeting him. My sis already meet him. My mom really embarrassed me. She got drunk like always and she was talking crap to my b/f about not loving me and being very nasty to him. I feel very bad for my boyfriend because his the sweety person in the whole world. I'm in the process of bringing my boyfriend to USA with and Im scared of having issue with my mom. How should I handle my mom?

Dodds agony auntHey, that's usually tough and I will be straight with you, it probably won't get any easier and there is no answer on how to handle issues with your mom. She will just have to deal with it as you have decided on being with this guy. You can't just turn off your emotions for him because of how your mum feels about your dating him. It's you to make a decision about it and stick to it and be strong as you handle it and of course you and him being there and strong for one another. I am currently in a similar situation where my mum doesn't approve or like the girl am dating without even taking the time to get to know her and it's really frustrating but ultimately it's my decision to make and she knows that. Just be strong, all the best and keep us updated
