A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Me and my bf have been together for a year and a half now, he's in the army and this military thing is still new to me. Whilst being together we've been through 1 tour, lots of excercises and an IED blast, i love him to peices but its hard!

Ive changed alot to be with him, i used to be a party animal. I worked in night clubs, spent 5 out of the 7 nights a week out in the lash n was just out to have fun. i soon realised it wasnt going to work and ive settled myself right down. Got a normal job n respcted the fact you probly dont wonna see pics of your 'mrs' pissed on fb.

Ive changed so much n miss the life i had, i love him n its worth it when we arnt arguing but its getting more n more frequent and i find myself puzzled. This man would be perfect but at 21 its alot to handle, seems like he's only just come back from afgan (nov 2011) n now theyre training again to deploy (2013)

Are there any young army girlfriends out there to give me some advice? Im in such a rutt over all this. I need to live my life as well and i feel ive got so much i want to go out there and do but at the age of 21 it feels as though the army has swallowed me up.
