writes:my husband of 21 years walked out on me 19 months ago because he had a mid life crises,he lives with his parents but has a girl friend 13 years younger than himself,she has a 3 year old son (not my husbands). i would like a divorce,he does nothing about a divorce why?? any way my 3 children and myself live in homeless temporary accomodation because of him,and i dont know what i'd be entitled to if i divorced him as there is no home or anything to sell.please help thank you

He is being really selfish, maybe he thinks of you as his back up. But i know something for sure, you should definatley initiate the divorce.

First of all, don't wait for him to initiate the divorce. He may not be doing it because he doesn't want to be seen as bad or something. I don't know. But you have just reason to initiate a divorce yourself, in that he left you. As far as rights go, you need to speak to a lawyer. Also, go to this site.

and make an appointment to speak to an advisor. They give totally FREE advice, and will be able to point you in the direction you need to go in.
So, get a solicitor, and initiate the divorce yourself and get rid of this guy who has left you and your kids homeless.
