 Sounds to me like this "friend" is a big pile. You are way better off without the girl. Someone that dumps their significant other for the best friend is NOT a good person. Definitely not someone to date.
You seem like a good person. Find a good person to date :)

 HE'S NOT YOUR BEST FRIEND.
He would NOT go out with your ex if he was a good enough friends and he would care more about you.
You're worth more than that. You need to realise that they both abused your trust and have used you.
Ditch them. Tell them that you want nothing more to do with them. Find TRUE friends and a girl who will NOT abuse your trust.
You're better off without them.

reader, anonymous, writes (10 June 2007): that sucks. but you will get over it eventually. it's only been three weeks, of course it still hurts. but you're young and you have a lot of time to find someone else. You have nothing to worry about.
Now you don't have a girlfriend so you can hang out with your friends more! Go out with fridns and meet lots of girls!
